So,
Currently a Verizon POTS / DSL customer. Called to see what I could get for internet/Cable. I can't get FIOS, and I don't want their "Triple Play" useless phone service, so they really weren't all that interested in doing anything for me. And of course, they are the phone campnay and insist of trying to get me to pay for their 150 yo phone technology.
Call up Comcast next, and get a douchebag salesweasle. Tries to pressure me into commiting up front, is vague on exact pricing, refuses to get me a quote, and in the end, had a worse deal than the Basketballer&the Creationist had on TV. And the price would have skyrocketed after the 12 mon "intro price!" Really, I refuse to believe the salesweasel'
s claim that they expect all of their new customers to commit to installing service *before* seeing the exact list of charges.
Stayed off the phone for Direct TV and just looked at the website and chatted with and on-line rep. Even though you need a reciever for every single TV, it was still a decent deal for my home's loadout. That would solve TV, but I would still have Internet to take care of.
_sigh_ Should have taken care of this early in the summer....
