You know, I may have picked the wrong instruments to play. And I play several, so I've apparently made this mistake several times. For my recording I earnestly tried to learn piano for a couple of tracks. I've only dinked around with it in the past, always focusing on guitar and such. Couldn't ever get the two hands working together. This time I guess something clicked, 'cause I'm picking up the ivories faster than I've picked up any other instrument. I'm not great or anything, but it's only been about a month.
I think I'm going to pick up a keyboard of my own, 'cause I finally got my stimulus check today, along with the amended tax return check that made it take so freaking long in the first place. Plus I cashed in two paychecks and a week's worth of vacation days, so it was a good, feel-rich sort of day that will end as soon as I buy that car I've been needing. If only I had that much money EVERY day. But since I've decided to lower my standards a bit, I think I can still afford a keyboard. Here's hoping.
