I was bumming yesterday evening, frustrated that while the nation was celebrating this historic ocassion, I'd be stuck at work with yahoo! updates and headlines. My coworker called in sick to watch it, my boss took the whole day off as well. I used an hour of vacation and borrowed George's truck (we carpool) and got my butt home--I caught it live. I felt like like it would be so much more meaningful and special if I could experience it while it happened, and I'm so glad I did! I thought it was a good speech; I appreciated the frankness and his inclusion of enviromental ideas, very forward thinking!
