Isn't it merely common sense to refrigerate [perishable] food if it's not being eaten? But as someone said, "Common sense isn't really that common", and I'm slowly beginning to defend that statement. I mean, for decades innovative inventions, i.e. the refrigerator or FRIGIDAIRE [for you fobby Injans], have been made to help lavish people not waste so much. Anyway, this week has been scorching! Especially in this oven I call home!
So supermega hot weather + filipino food [already looks and smells panis when offered. jk!] = Mold and health DANGERS! wowwowwee!
I'm bitchin about this because my hungry ass was scavenging for food today, and I uncovered a bowl that's been sitting on the kitchen table. As I peeked to see what GOODIES were inside, little gnats flew out like magical fairy dust out of a secret treasure chest. HAHA. Anyway, you cannot imagine how incredibly disgusting it was. There was so much mold that you can't even tell what was originally in the stupid bowl. Maybe my mom made a bowl of mold for my lunch? How sad. I can't remember the number of times I've told her to REFRIGERATE! She simply canNOT understand my engRish. I know that I should put stuff away [help around the house], but I would be doing MORE harm by not letting her realize her mistakes. She must LEARN. It is imperative! So it still sits there and awaits her arrival. =)
To end it all. I wrote her 3 different post-it notes.
It goes something like this:
Mom, There is a surprise waiting for you underneath the lid. ENJOY! [oOoh boy, doesn't it sound good??]
Can't say that I told you so. STOP LEAVING FOOD OUT!!!
Now THROW IT AWAY!!!
haha, i'm evil.
