Picked this up on a whim at the library, as much because I needed something light and fast to read as because it has Darcy in the title. It's about a woman who fell in love with Darcy when she first read Pride and Prejudice at age twelve, and who has had no luck with men ever since. In order to escape going to Mexico with her best friend on a singles' trip, she books a Jane Austen tour in England over New Years. When she gets there, she finds the tour full of old ladies - in fact, the only man close to her own age is a newspaper reporter with an attitude and a grudge against Darcy on behalf of all men everywhere.
But then she meets Darcy himself - Darcy from the book. And she begins to realize that maybe clinging to fantasies isn't the best way to live real life.
Cute, funny, intelligent, with bits and pieces of Pride and prejudice woven throughout to great effect. We all know I like that.
