she thinks hearing glass shatter is how her heart must sound when it breaks just a little more.
only for the third time in her life though.
the first time is quite evident, or so krystal likes to think. she doesn't like to be deep (remain superficial, it's good for you. they won't see the wounded little girl underneath the surface.) it sucks to be replaced, at least it does for krystal. jessica has a much better time with her eight new sisters anyways, because all nine of them together shine brighter than the stars - while krystal simply lingers on the edge of the universe, collecting dust and kicking at moon rocks. but it's okay, her heart only cracks a little.
the second time is quite evident, or so krystal likes to think. when they go out and perform tik tok, but all she can hear is her sister's name being screamed throughout the stadium. she won't make it obvious, the way she dances harder, the way she flips her hair or even shakes her ass - because no matter how hard she tries, they'll never drown out the 'jessica!' (besides, the next best thing she will hear is just the jung sisters.) krystal kind of thinks that jessica looks good as a blond, because no one could ever really tell they were sisters. but they are, so she still lingers on the edge of the universe, kind of blinded by the brightness of it all. but it's okay, her heart only loses a piece or two.

she thinks she'll be successful in the future, more successful then her sister ever was. she'll be better than the ice princess of snsd. she'll make her own title, she'll be something other than another sister in the sm family. krystal has all these goals planned out for her life
(but then she sees jessica, she hears jessica, 'you can do so much more with your life than just this', and all she can think is, 'you're a selfish bitch.')
(jessica wants to save her.)
the third time leaves krystal in her room, isolated, curled up, alone. she wants all these things that she all ready has, but she kind of realizes, doesn't need. so it hurts, because that is the only way she can phrase it. there's no shortness of breath or salted tears in her eyes; 'luna .. it just hurts.' but she'll remain superficial, and she will remain to be the only reason why her heart breaks just a little more (she knows that jessica isn't the selfish one. that it's just her.)
these is no fourth time, or fifth, or sixth time her heart breaks.
(but it's okay, because after the third time, she decides her heart was never really whole to begin with.)
