I had started to write a really big paragraph about how certain stores sell the "indie-fashion, non-conforming" image as a trend, but I feel better off saying that as more and more people try to break free from the mainstream, they will all end up eventually finding themselves in yet another.
Basically, no matter how hard you try, any sign of "exclusiveness" will slowly be consumed by the conventional world we live in...
But HEY! (Cheer up:) at least you've still got you TRON c.2016 hair-do going on!
thats some deep stuff man, but at the same time you're actually right. there are people that have bandwagoned onto the shoe game and it sucks for dudes that have been collecting since time and watch their favourite hobby end up like this. but yo i feel you man. anyway i'll see you around. btw this is julz (johns bro). later!

i read your entire entry and i found it really interesting. I respect you for coming forth with your rant but you seem so bothered by it. I've seen your shoes and stuff and I think it's totally awesome but I think that you shouldn't take it seriously. I understand collecting shoes is your thing or whatever and that you're bothered that other ppl are getting shoes without knowledge. But when someone walks into Gdft or Da Zone they're just going to get whatever shoes that match their clothes. They don't necessarily need to be a 'shoehead'. It sucks because there is a world of shoe heads then theres the rich people who just buy shoes. But you know Gdft and the other shoes stores didn't open for the exclusive community. It's a store because they know there are buyers. And they're a business not just for exclusive people. Their intentions are to sell to whoever. I think that you shouldn't stop collecting shoes but just buy it more for fashion rather than for the purpose of being a shoe head. 'Cause like compare it to fashion.. say you

Thats not the point. I make the issue sound a bit 'over the wall' but its really deeper than it really is.
If you read my other responses, I state that GDFT and Da Zone is just doin' theyre thing. I mean yeah, without them, how are you suppose to get shoes in the first place right? Im not hating on them, I have a friend who works there! I respect what theyve done for the community and I continue to support them.
As for the customers, like I said, its one thing to just buy a shoe and get on with life, but its another to flaunt and think theyre the best and use the whole shoe thing as a TREND

Hey. You've raised a good point. But first things first, I didn't think that it was the right thing for you to post up someone's random picture up on the internet like that. It's just to show you're criticism for that boy having new shoes? How do you know that it wasn't a present from someone else? For all you know, someone who'se been collecting shoes longer than you could be posting up your picture on their livejournals as well. But that wasn't my point, I apologize
