An update!

The last week has been busy but boring. I've been going to my mom's work with her to pick up some extra cash. At the same time, I've increased my job search, making my search radius wider. I'm now looking for places in the valley and along the coastline, I'm fairly desperate for money. I need to move out of here, I love my mom but I can't continue ( Read more... )

It's been raining ridiculously up here which sucks since I work outside...:P Oh well, thank god we have Gortex jackets...:)
I am sorry about your problems, gaining all that weight back is not fun I would imagine. I wouldn't do the surgery myself, but if it IS what you want to do go for it. Of course it will be a lot of money and it will push back you moving out even further. Is that what you want? I say join a gym, get a trainer to help you and slowly work it off. Plus trainers can help you with meal plans so you know what to eat and how much and that helps you too.
As for Lasik, they usually will not do if for someone who's prescription keeps changing. You're supposed to have your prescription be the same for about 2 years to be a good candidate. I've had the same prescription since I was 20 so if I had the money I would go for it, but I feel there are more important things for me to save up for (like our wedding and a house...we found a cheap forclosed one we might consider buying...eee! :)
I'm glad you are making some money with your mom, but yea if ANY job opens go for it. Take it from me I have had to deal with some shitty ass jobs in my "career"...I started working at 15, and you can imagine there aren't glamorous jobs for a teen. I had to work at Kragen and that blew hard. Men are such assholes and don't think women can work in a car parts store...it's ridiculous...
Have you looked into being a nanny or pet sitter? I know there are TONS of companies in LA that are looking for either. Maybe google it...
Anywho, good luck with it all. I need to update ridiculously bad soon. I keep running out of time...oh well. I need to do all this housework today and maybe I will have time to update...I have pics galore! :)

I think basically the whole west coast is getting a storm. We're getting a break right now, but it should start up again tomorrow I think.

I'd have to find out if it's covered by my medical but if I had to choose between Lap-Band and Lasek, it would be the latter. Well, I'd have to get a consultation. For me, I really need the surgery but I can understand wanting to save for something else. You're saving for your wedding and me? Well I'm saving for NYC ;D

A nanny? For kids? Nooooo way, I am so not a kid person. For me, the only kid I like is an obedient and quiet kid, which is why I don't know if I'd want kids. A pet sitter is a possibility though.

It seems like it...blarg, I hope it is done soon. I would hate to see my work flood again, that was hell...:(
I hear ya...I'm just saying if it's NOT covered by medical, you might want to just do something cheaper like joining a gym and getting a trainer/nutritionist to help you. Yea I'm saving for my wedding, a new car, a house, etc. :P
Ah I see. It's just that nannies get paid a lot considering you don't do much. hahahaha I've done it a few times...if they are older kids, you don't have to do as much, and even if they are little kids they sleep most of the time...:P
For pet sitting you can even work in a facility, not necessarily going to people's houses...or work in a shelter, they are probably looking for some ACTs or customer service people. I know mine is...:)

I think the pay for looking after a kid wouldn't help me if I were in the looney bin ;)
I wouldn't mind being a British nanny, go to England and take care of some rich little British kids and teach them to appreciate life and to let them know that chimney sweeps are a jolly lot....I've had maybe 5 hours of sleep within the last 48 hours, can't you tell? ;)

I suppose...;) I did it for many years and am thankfully sane...;)
ERM, I don't think the nannies over there are different than over here...:P
GO to bed you freak, how can you find a job on no sleep? They will find you creepy and not hire you...;)

Lol, I know. I'm overtired and A Spoonful Of Sugar came on :P

If I sleep now I'll wake up at 5pm and not get to sleep later. I'm going job searching tomorrow, I'll take Excedrin PM if I must! Today I am focusing on staying awake and cleaning my room.
