this isn't a downer!! it's quite inspiring to read actually. I admire the ability to look back on growth objectively and know how far you've come. basically I aspire to be you when I grow up, the end.

This is kind of off-topic but when I saw this

all the habits i love best in myself are ones i saw in other people, ripped from them, and modified for my own purposes. nothing anyone admires about me is actually 100% me more than a compilation of everyone i shamelessly stole from that then became me.

I instantly thought of "Invisible Monsters" by Chuck Palahniuk, which is the number one book I credit for making me into the adult I am. One of the more famous lines in the book is

Nothing of me is original. I am the combined effort of everybody I’ve ever known.
