you're pretty good at objectively looking back already as far as i can tell. you even note when you're biased for the most part. i think the only thing that will ever get in your way is pride and as long as you can learn to temporarily set it aside ALL WILL BE FINE YOU'RE THERE ALREADY.
i just have a head start on that angle because while i feel like i'm pretty awesome, i also don't think i'm anything special and everyone could be someone like me if they really wanted to. i demand "we're equals ok" respect from everyone and if i don't get it then i move on because no one who treats me less is worth my time.
TANGENT KIND OF: i don't like ppl treating me like i'm better either. it makes me nutty since all the habits i love best in myself are ones i saw in other people, ripped from them, and modified for my own purposes. nothing anyone admires about me is actually 100% me more than a compilation of everyone i shamelessly stole from that then became me.
as a consequence, i've developed this thing where i admire habits more than i admire people. WHOOPS

I instantly thought of "Invisible Monsters" by Chuck Palahniuk, which is the number one book I credit for making me into the adult I am. One of the more famous lines in the book is
Nothing of me is original. I am the combined effort of everybody I’ve ever known.
