whaling fleet heads to antarctica ......

the japanese whaling fleet have set sail for antarctica with the plan to kill more than 1,000 whales. this includes 935 piked (minke) whales, 50 fin whales (second largest animal on the planet, after the blue whale) and first the first time, 50 humpback whales. these are the same humpbacks that grace our coastlines here in australia. probably the very same humpbacks that tourists come from all over the world to see!

sea shepherd are set to sail from australian waters december 1st with intentions to shut down this illegal fleet and send them home.

elections for a new prime minister are set to take place here in australia next week, 24th nov, with the labor government promising that if it's elected, they would send warships to antarctica. i'm not holding my breath .....

currently in tasmania, the robert hunter fresh from repairs and a new paint job, will return to melbourne this week before heading to antarctica. everyone should go check out the ship whilst it's in port !!!!!!!!

migaloo, the worlds rarest and only white whale, will not be spared if the fleet come across him, japanese whaling sources have said.
