Illness and saying goodbye to old friends...

This morning I woke up with Fred. We woke up early enough that we heard ‘Revely’ from HAFB. That is the first time I had noticed that before. We had a good talk. I love him and I am glad we are friends but it doesn’t take much time for either of us to get on one another’s nerves. We are good friends and talking on the phone we are golden but when it comes to being together in person I remember why we are not more.

Fred is the kind of person who thinks everything is about him. He is generous and helps others out but when it comes to him personally it is a different thing. Case and point…we talked for about 2 hours without one mention of getting in the shower. Then we got up so I could make sure Cheryl was up. He asked if he could go take a shower. I told him ‘no’ that Cheryl was going to need to get in. He said she wouldn’t even be up before he was done. He is right but that’s not the point. Why wait until someone else needs to do something and then decide it is time for you to do it? I told him that he could wait because he isn’t 5 years old. He tends to hang around people (women) who answer to his every whim and he likes that. Well, that is not the way the world works. He fidgets with everything and pushes at times when it is not appropriate to do so. It’s those little irritations that just get under my skin and I am happy to see him go home. Lol.

We got dressed and I took him back to his dad’s house. We said our goodbyes and I headed out to Good Earth. It seems my exhaustion is coming from my kidneys. Christopher said that my kidneys aren’t flushing properly. So I was off to the health food store to get stuff to help with that.

After Good Earth I stopped and got food for Cheryl and me then took all my meds and put myself to bed hoping to feel better if I just gave my body time to take care of itself.

I slept for about 4 hours then woke up with a horrible headache. I decided I was not going to make it to work after all. I gave in to my body and called in and gave myself the night off. I spent the rest of the night watching ‘George Lopez’ and knitting. On the plus side I did get lots of Sophie’s blanket made. :)
