I was bored..

... and since they say a picture speaks louder then words, I decided to take a few random pictures around my home. {Plus I just wanted to make certain my camera was working correctly since my WOF pictures were really poor quality.} Placed behind a cut and embellished with mini commentary:

One of our many 'oddity' shelves. The bone at the very top is actually a portion of leg bone from a monk carved and decorated into a horn. The monk's skin is stretched over the bottom end and accented with turquoise and red coral. (Which can barely be seen) The carving is of a dragon. From what I have learned, in Tibet, whenever a monk who has achieved a certain level of enlightenment dies, they give him a sky burial. During this time they meditate over him as the vultures pick away at his remains. When there is nothing left but the bones, they take them back to clean and carve them into various religious implements to be used during rituals. I might take more pics of this if any one is 'really' interested.

I have no idea about the origins of the mask. It's one of P's collection.
The shelf contains all sorts of other little things, each with it's own little story.

This next pic is of a shelf in my kitchen. This includes a jar of white rose petals, a candle, a shrunken head, old tarot cards, and the lower jaw from a javelina (mean wild pig for those of you not from these parts). The shelf itself is actually just an old rickety wooden box top.

And this is my favorite apron... that I never use because I am paranoid about getting it dirty. ~lol~

Here is a random picture that I took of a carousel a few months ago. I just thought it was really cool.
