I'm taking lessons from Puss in Boots. *nod*

I feel like death. I can't get to the store. (Actually, truth of the matter is, I'm broke.)

So I need home remedies that have worked for you. ("Worked" being the operative word here.)

I have a ton of tea at my disposal. As well as alcohol, orange juice ( Read more... )

DON'T mix Tylenol and alcohol. The two in combination will cause long-term damage to your liver. If you consume alcohol, take Aspirin instead. That will just cause temporary damage to your stomach.

The best fluid to take is the fluid that you'll actually drink. If you feel like tea, make lots of tea; if you feel like orange juice, drink lots of that. Fluids might not make you get better faster, but they'll reduce the dehydration that makes you feel so awful.

And don't try to study! Sleep is good for sick people!

If you have a sore throat, gargle salt water. Even if you do not have a sore throat but can feel stuff draining down the back of your throat, gargle the salt water.

I would just to with the tea or anything else you like to drink. As I tell the boys...drinking water makes you pee...pee gets rid of the germs...so PEE! I am not sure how medically correct that logic happens to be, but I use the word "pee" alot which they enjoy. It keeps them hydrated, and I think it makes lots of sense. *smile*

The water here is nasty so we buy a lot of bottled water. (Which we are out of, of course.) Luckily I have tons of tea.. peppermint, eggnog, raspberry, chai, vanilla, hazelnut, chocolate...

Bleh on salt water. I hate that. But I hate being sick more, so I will do it.

Protein. Got it. I can do that.
Sleep, I don't foresee a problem with that either.
Thank you.
