Randomness

The weather here cannot seem to make up it's mind. We went from 95 degrees to below 75 in a matter of days and who knows what it will be next week. But that's ok. I have a/c now and that makes me a happy chica.

We had to get a new computer monitor yesterday because candle wax dripped inside the one we had and after taking it apart to get it out, I realized there was no hope. (Got to be prepared for things like this when your altar is located right above your computer.) Anyway, obviously no more pillar candles are allowed in this area. On the bright side of things, we got a used one for $36 and it's bigger then the old one. So some good came out this... that and the fact that my man didn't kill me. Hehehehe.

The other day it rained and I went for a drive. It smells wonderful, the desert rain. I stopped a little past 'Gates Pass' (for those of you who know where that is) and just breathed it in. I felt so much better afterward. Very much at peace despite all that has been going on lately. (That of which I will put behind a locked post later.) And the feeling has stayed with me since. I guess I just needed some time to get away and re-evaluate things, situations and people. But the most important thing right now is that I am finally at peace with myself.

On the home front, things are okay. Kindergoth is talking more (finally). We are also teaching her sign language in hopes that it will be helpful in the future. She has an appointment with a language development therapist in a couple of weeks. Then I will know how she is progressing.

As for me, since it's getting closer to that time of year I hate, I am staying indoors even more during the day. Course when kindergoth wants to go swimming, that will change a bit. But even then, I will only take her in the evening, when the sun goes down enough that the pool is shaded. I also have to go through her toys. All of them. Her birthday is coming up and I have to get rid of a LOT. (60% of her toys are locked in her closet because we have no room for them.)

Well, the in-laws just came and picked up kindergoth for a spontaneous over-night stay, so you know what that means. Yep. A chance to catch up on house cleaning and go through those toys I just mentioned. Ahh, such the exciting life of a house-wife, I lead.
