NFL Pre-season week 1

Aug 11, 2014 09:00

I'll start this occasional series by stating a little of where I'm coming from.

I may live in the UK, but I have followed the NFL for close to 50 years, more recently as an (amateur) analyst. I DO know the game, the rules, the politics, the economics, and the efforts that go to make up a team. I do not follow any particular team, and will tell it as I see it, good or bad, so if your team is in my headlights one week - deal with it respectfully . .

I welcome any and all response on here, but ZERO TOLERANCE for hate mail of any kind directed at me or anyone else who posts - KEEP IT FRIENDLY!

That said - we are in the 2014 PRE-SEASON AT LAST!

All 32 teams have now got their uniforms dirty, and we have learnt a few things, some of them not pretty. Early days, maybe, but the Titans have got some head-scratching to do on both teams, and the Raiders don't have a QB yet. Neither for that matter do the Jets. Smith is still on his learning curve, and probably SHOULD, but won't sit behind Michael Vick for a full season. Johnny Football probably won't have time to assimilate the Play Book, but the Browns want to sell tickets, so he may well get the job anyway. Jim still owns Jon. There is still no D in Dallas.

I'll stop there for now, and get back later this week with a little more in depth comment about one or two teams as the injury reports consolidate.....

If you want me to give you my analysis of YOUR team just ask, but be warned I don't pull punches!

Happy days.....
