Why do I do this in the morning?

For whatever reason, my typical morning passtime if I wake up early like today is to play the one bloody game that succeeded in traumatizing me as a child and continues to creep me out: Diablo. Not the easy second one, of course... THAT has never made it ridiculously easy to feel my pulse. It's kind of embarresing, actually, because I'm fairly certain that this game consists entirely of (highly detailed) sprites...

But ever since I ran into the Butcher on my first run through when I was three, I've both loved this game and been completely terrified of it... It's not even THAT scary!

Why can't I stop playing?
