Bus Randomness...

Dec 12, 2008 23:02

I'm now at the point where when I'm riding public transportation to places I regularly visit, I basically go on autopilot until my stop comes up. (Yes, I've napped a couple of times on the train heading to Tokyo.) I also don't know what the actual name of the stop I use when I'm on the bus coming back from Tokyo. I can tell that my stop's getting close when I see a certain gas station. Tonight I was coming back from spending the afternoon in Tokyo, and when I was close to my stop, I realized two things. One was that other than the driver, I was the only person left on the bus (which has never happened to me). Two was that the bus was not heading in the right direction. Yeah, I started worrying just a little, but luckily, when I looked out the window, I noticed that the bus had turned down a different road than normal was stopping by the outdoor mall close to my apartment. It was definitely a surreal moment.
