A New Show...

So, because I don't have enough to keep me occupied with work, manga, and dramas (the latest Hong Gil Dong subs aren't up yet, and this makes me sad...), I've decided to add American tv shows to my list of entertainment. It's been years since I've followed an American show. Some of it was caused because of my work schedule during college, the lack of cable (which wasn't a factor Senior year), and my introduction to Asian dramas. I decided to start watching American shows again for a couple of reasons. I have a student who commented that when she watched English movies she couldn't understand all of what was said because of the casual phrases that native speakers use without thinking about them. Since I don't use a lot of these when I talk, I needed to start watching something that would use these types of phrases so I could find them and share them with her. My brother also sent me links where I can watch the shows online without having to download them. (I asked for them because a church member wanted them.) I was skimming through them and saw the show Bones, which I'd seen a couple of episodes and liked and had heard good things about, so I started watching it.

I really like it. It's suspense/mystery based, which I always enjoy, and I'm fine with the realistic crimes it shows. (I blame this on my mother as she loves reading true crimes books.) The leads have amazing chemistry, and I really enjoy all of the main side characters, too. My favorite part: the sarcasm. It's been a really long time since I've heard good, witty sarcasm, and this show really provides it. I've watched four episodes, and I'm going to watch one more before I go to the English school today.
