I haven't seen this being posted anywhere on my flist, so I decided to share it.
The Awesome Ladies Ficathon
It's been a lot of fun to follow as there are some amazing stories being written there, all focusing on women in fandom. When I started watching it, there were maybe 40ish pages, and now there are 66, and it continues to grow every day. (And it's always good to check back at prompts which you found interesting but weren't filled when you first saw them as some of them do get fill days after the prompts were first posted.) Any fandom is welcomed, though I haven't really seen any manga, anime, or Asian dramas prompts.
The most amazing part about this ficathon is that it has actually gotten me to write some fic. (I'd only written one other fanfic before this past week, it was for a jdrama I expectantly became obsessed with, and probably only one person on my flist has read it.) If any future prompts inspire me, I'll probably write them, but for now, here are the two that I wrote, each in completely different fandoms.
Title: Jade Princess
Fandom: Artemis Fowl
Character: Juliet Butler
Rating: G
Author's Note: Spoilers for Juliet's storyline from the end of The Eternity Code onward.
She pauses after changing into her costume to stare into the mirror, which shows smooth, unmarked skin across her shoulder. Somewhere in the back of her mind she knows that if she attempts Madam Ko’s final test one more time, she would pass it with astonishing ease, but acquiring the blue diamond doesn’t matter to her anymore. Sliding the jade hairpiece into place, she walks out of the locker room and into the wrestling ring.

Title: Here's Your Sign
Fandom: Doctor Who
Character: River Song
Rating: G
Author's Note: Very slight spoilers for episodes River Song has appeared in.
She enjoys leaving messages for him all over time and space. It’s like an intergalactic scavenger hunt. And anything surface is free game: the psychic paper, the home box of a category 4 starliner, the oldest cliff faces in history (made of pure diamond). She only wishes she could see his face the moment he realizes whom the message is from. (She does have a sneaking suspicion that the TARDIS has recorded and saved those moments, and if she asks nicely enough, the TARDIS just might share them with her.)
