summer comes to an end
ho hum journal. it is officially the last day of summer. granted, it has been feeling a little nippier in the past couple weeks, but so far, the weather is holding up quite nicely...mid to high 70s. quite nice.
i've decided to put off my series 66 exam until november as i am feeling quite fretful. chrissi was contemplating a move back to miami and asked if i wanted to come along as well as there appeared to be good job opportunities for the both of us. i really thought hard about it over the weekend and came to the decision that although i would like to live in miami, it just would be too hard since i don't have any sort of support system in place there. the only person i would know is chrissi, and that is too much of a burden for her as well as myself.
sigh. i feel really lost right now.
i went out more this weekend than i have in a long time. chrissi's friends from florida were here so i met up with them at phebe's on bowery. it was ehhh and way too crowded. i got really tired of people pushing past me, spilling my beer all over me. the next night, met with chrissi for dinner at hummus place then went out for chris' bday at gallery bar. wait, correction. joyce and i went to gallery bar, but chris and his friends couldn't get in, so we left and went to la caverna instead. chris made out with a korean girl who wanted him to lick her elbow. not quite sure what the fetish is there, but hey whatever floats your boat. rach came with us and we left early (2:30 PM), grabbed some fries from belgian fry guy on ave a and a pistachio ice cream cone, and proceeded to clog up our arteries. i woke up with a horrendous stomach ache the next morning.
speaking of rach, she and triccia moved up to washington heights, as in the booniest part of manhattan possible. rent's much cheaper, but honestly i could not imagine living all the way up there. the cab ride downtown probably costs at least $30 without traffic...it's just not worth the time or the money.
