Supernatural: Devil's Trap
OMG. Yeah, I'm probably stealing those three letters from about three billion people's hearts right now, but yes: OMG.
To narrow it down so soon is... I can't. But I'll say this: I love Sam so much. I know tonight is going to be making a lot of people's hearts burn in agony for Dean, and with totally good reason, and Sam's role was much more quiet, but fuck, he loves his brother so much, and that love keeps bringing him back from the edge. That final look between them in the mirror RIPPED OUT MY BEATING HEART because seriously, that's the key difference between John and Sam: Sam isn't willing to give up everything. And Dean. Dean is between them still, if in a different way. I just have this mental image of Dean standing tall between them all these years, keeping the family together, but he's crumpled now, and Sam's pulling him over to his side of the line, comforting Dean while Papa screams his head off about getting the job done. Oh, fuck, fuck, fuck. Sam and Dean. Really, people can SO NOT claim the show is just about Sam now or hate Sam because oh wow, he wanted his own life the selfish pig, because I will so smack the ho that dares say Sam doesn't love Dean just as much as Dean loves him, if maybe Dean's love is a bit more... co-dependent. Because Sam went away, but fuck, he's obviously only just learning how much Dean really needs him.

Yeah, okay, I'm still kind of wearing my 'in defense of Sammy' clothes. But for real. Love Sammy, too. Please?
And Dean! Dean, my fucking god, how much more fucked up and lovable could you possibly get? God, you. You're just trapped in your need and you probably believe your dad would have stopped hurting you quicker if you were Sam, if you were better, braver, smarter, quicker, something more. And then at the end there, in the car, where you just look at your dad from the backseat while he rails at Sam for not finishing it, god, it's all clicking for you, and again, that look in the mirror between you and Sam --- gah, I can only hope you know how much Sam is willing to sacrifice for you. It's not a one way street, it's really not, oh come here, give me a hug. HUG HIM ONE DAY SAM. Boom! Crash! AGH WHAT THE FUCK?
