Just your run-of-the-mill linkspam.

Not much going on right now, other than trying to get stuff together for D*C. I do need to clean out my bookmarks, though, so here's a linkspam!

-- HeiDeas gets delightfully pedantic about linguistics jokes on The Simpsons.
-- Speaking of animation: Beavis and Butt-Head are back, reviewing Extract! Those idiots are my homeboys. Literally.
-- Buzzfeed explores medical afflictions of the cartoon world.
-- Here's an old interview with The Progressive Girl. Characters like that usually annoy me, but I kinda like her.
-- Am watching Top Chef right now. Richard Blais from S3 blogs about "simple vs. contrived food". Quite interesting!
-- Mental Floss lists 10 quirky marriage proposals and 15 famous people who used to teach.
-- And here's an awesome quiz: Can you match the photo to the NPR personality?
-- Sunday's NYT Magazine has a long article on bringing Where the Wild Things Are to the big screen.
-- Ken Levine's rants make me laugh. This time he takes on internet pop-up ads.
-- Wondering how many people are in space right now?
-- io9 created a graph that explains sci-fi TV after Star Trek.
-- Atlanta folks: the downtown Westin is FINALLY getting new windows, two years after the tornado, for $22million!
-- And finally, ESPN's article about the marriage of Flo Jo and Al Joyner, their daughter, and her death made me a bit teary. Do go read it, even if you're not into track and field.
