1. I am officially done with school until early August! I still have ESOL certification classes and summer school for the next three weeks, but hey. Tonight I'm celebrating with takeout pasta from Figo and watching the Spelling Bee. I love the Bee and am glad that ABC now treats it as a huge event with a live primetime broadcast and "getting to know you" vignettes of the top contestants. Congrats, Midwest, for being so well-represented. And since I'm on tivo-delay, no spoilers please!
2. Why do I feel buyer's remorse when I buy online, if I even buy at all? It's funny -- many people say that they're much more impulsive when shopping online than in person, whereas I'm the opposite. It's easy for me to walk into a store, choose something, and pull out my card at the register. In fact, I'm far more tempted to buy things that I wouldn't get otherwise. But when it comes to online shopping, I rarely do it because I obsess for literally hours over what exactly to buy, then have a very hard time bringing myself to put in my credit card and click "submit order". I suppose that's a good thing, overall, even if it's a bit frustrating and odd.
3. Last night I watched
Life After People on the History Channel. It's the series version of that special about what would happen to the Earth if humanity disappeared tomorrow -- basically, the TV version of The World Without Us (which I've reserved at the library.) It totally feeds my post-apocalyptic kink.
