Wednesday evening linkspam.

Wow. This daily update is almost entirely linkspam because I've been saving 'em up. (Plus, I'd rather not talk about a work day in which the kids reminded me of how middle school is widely regarded as "the tenth circle of hell".)

1. Rolling Stone posts excerpts from an interview with Stewart and Colbert (OTP!). Unfortunately, Maureen Dowd is a wee bit obnoxious here.

2. Village Voice talks about Saturday Night Live. I haven't watched the show in years, but I found this strangely interesting.

3. How iTunes saved The Office. And praise Jeebus for that.

4. Studio 60: Still kickin' after all these weeks. A status report on exactly what's going on with the show these days. (Since things are practically turning into an either/or, I'm going with Friday Night Lights.)

5. Big shows on campus: Salon debates how Veronica Mars and The O.C. have fared with the college transition.

6. depudor has a fascinating essay in defense of the networks. If you're as into TV as I am, this behind-the-scenes look is well worth a read.

7. Another new interview with Jamie Bamber. No spoilers this time! At least, none past the most recent episode.

8. Finally, a follow-up to those who gave me advice about the charter school open house: I went in with a positive attitude. It didn't last long. I'll probably apply, but I'm thinking it's NOT for me. ;)
