Last time: Palia and Turtle added 2 new kids to their family as son Lefle and daughter Aylsie were born. There was no traveling, but Palia is dying to visit Three Lakes. Also, Palia earned her LTW and became a Celebrity Chef!
This time, the family finally heads to the last destination...Three Lakes! Get set for a fun camping trip that will take up the whole update! This is going to be the longest generation yet.

Generation 3 heiress and her husband (Palia and Turtle) haven't been on a trip since their honeymoon! Three kids later, they finally found some time to take another vacation. This time to the mountains of the Three Lakes region. This means they've visited all 3 vacation locales which accomplishes one of the G3 goals for this challenge, and visiting this locale earned the memento "Explore the wilderness"! Anyway, they picked a campsite, put on some mountain clothes, and got ready for adventure!
And what better way to start a mountain vacation than to....do Tai Chi? Well, the Floosby's are cultural if nothing else.
While Turtle and the kids are doing some Tai Chi, Palia decides to do a little digging. She finally digs up her own treasure map which earns her the memento "Find a lead to hidden secrets".
After awhile digging, Palia and the family sit down to some grub. Palia tries some delicious flapjacks which earns her the memento "Enjoy a hearty mountain meal".
Next up on the vacation list of things to do, is some tours. After remembering how she has such bad luck on tours, Palia decided to go on the tours by herself rather than subjecting her family to the terrors of the mountains! And it saved the family a lot of money that way. But this time, at least, Palia has some good luck and comes back $500 richer!
Turtle felt lucky that Palia returned from the tour unharmed, when normally some kind of catastrophe always strikes. He scooped her up as soon as she got out of the tour bus and smooched her right in front of the kids. And now, Turtle wants to have another baby. He must have really been worried about his wife on that tour. This tour makes 7/9 for "Be guided to all local sites".

On the final tour, Palia took the whole family! It was an expensive tour, and I forgot to take a picture of the outcome of it. I think it was a negative one, but I don't remember! Oh well. This tour completed 9/9 for the memento "Be guided to all local sites".
The campground has a neat area set up for a little axe-throwing. Palia had a good time working out her frustrations, and she even got a bullseye earning her the memento "Hit that target".
The family ended their first day in Three Lakes by roasting marshmallows around the campfire. Such a sweet moment!
Everybody slept in tents that night, even though the family owns a vacation house in Three Lakes. But sleeping in a tent is fun and it earned the memento "Sleep under the stars".
Bright and early the next morning, the family decided to follow the treasure map and stumbled upon a secret lot with a furry inhabitant. Finding this lot earned 3/3 for the memento "Uncover all vacation secrets". The family also learned how to Slap Dance from Bigfoot, which earned "Learn to dance like the mountain men".
Palia used a little voodoo to befriend the Bigfoot, and even persuaded him to join their family! This earned the memento "Make a furry friend" and completed the optional G3 goal of having Bigfoot move in! And it was the first time I used the voodoo doll, so it was super fun.
Bigfoot (who's first name is Kampol?) taught Palia and the family the local way of chest pounding. This earned the memento "Pound your chest like a true mountaineer".
After a half a day of slap dancing and chest pounding, Palia and the family headed to a nice mountain spa for a little rest and relaxation. Palia learned the deep tissue massage which earned the memento "Learn to work out tension the mountain way".
The spa offered a nice sauna and some relaxing hot springs. Even little Aylsie got in a good soak.
Bigfoot followed the family around and showed them the sights. Turns out he's a really lovable kind of fella.
On their third and final vacation day, Palia checked out some tree rings for the memento "Tree rings tell an interesting tale".
Then it was time for some good ol' fashioned fun, which the family found in log rolling games.
Palia beat Turtle on the log rolling just about every time. This earned "Stay on the log and win!".
Even the kids and Bigfoot had fun on the logs!
On their last night in Three Lakes, the family had a little cookout and ate hot dogs under the stars.
Then they went to a local lodge and had a nice and cozy/quiet evening in front of a roaring fire.

The kids had fun playing darts while their parents got a little romance time.
And they really did get quite a bit of romance time! What a way to end the trip! Some nearby campers say they heard fireworks and lullaby's that night. *wink wink*
This was such a successful trip! And fun too. I really missed having this family go on vacations and exploring the Bon Voyage expansion pack. As you can see, Palia is really close to achieving all of the vacation mementos. She's got to make one more trip to Twikkii Island to learn the local dance and gesture. That should also earn her the remaining mementos that are currently in progress. This family sure is taking forever to achieve all the generation goals, but it sure has been my favorite generation so far!
