(no subject)
Can't imagine how an immortal life would be enjoyable. No foreseeable end to look forward to. Just more opportunities to make more mistakes. It would be pretty disappointing to be stuck in such an imperfect form although it wouldn't be too bad to have a decent go at life either... just not forever. If there's no more reason for me to stick around, then there's no real point in staying in this world. I think it would be best to die when you're right in the middle of the end of usefulness. Thoughts of living the rest of life in a box with no place in society is too depressing and at that point, a change of attitude might be in order.
Our circle of influence in life should never be depleted completely. There's always someone's life in which we can been involved, and not just for our sake, but for theirs. People are the most important thing on this Earth even though it's not always viewed that way. I wonder how it has become so easy to put material things above others. Was there ever a time it wasn't that way. Not sayin' that self-imposed values on items aren't necessary but the immaterial is worth so much more(thanks).
What would we be like if we were stripped of our little bubble of a world? Taken away to a place where all the knowledge of what we should and shouldn't do became obsolete. Where all we could do is live day by day on who we were in the present, neither knowing the past nor the future and unable to take it into account, living in the span of a day. Who would I be?
Just finished taxes!! Filling out all those forms manually working on up to 5 at a time to fill them out manually. It's interesting how everything calculates. Some amounts go up with your income, some go down. Some do both! (jk) But in the end I still want to see how I did the first time around - my dad took care of it last year and the year before - and use the tax program that we're going to be using to make sure I'm supposed to get however much I get back, back. If I claim too little, it costs me. If I claim too much, it costs me... if they look into it ^.- lol
