For the greater good

Today was another day of Dan and I running around town. We woke up and my first job was a futile call to my allergy doctor hoping he could fill out the form for the school district staying I had no major defects and am fit to work. The HR lady for the school district said any doctor I had seen within the year could fill it out. I knew an allergy doctor was a stretch but if it worked it could save me $50.00, so it was worth a try. Well the lady who answered who happens to be my doctor's wife said it had to be a General Practitioner. I called a local walk in clinic and it was $50 for my physical and no surprise, I have no major defects! Yes the form actually asks the doctor to check no defects, minor defects, or major ones. My sight is still awesome, the nurse told me to stop showing off during my eye test. It reminded me of this great Seinfeld greeting card my friend Anne sent me in college, it had Jerry Seinfeld on the front and said "I want to be told I have super hearing. When I take my hearing test, I want the doctor to say "That is amazing! What you just heard was a cotton ball touching a piece of felt!"

Before my trip to the clinic, we went to our local pub for lunch and to a pool store. Dan is on a quest for pool toys and they are hard to find. He wants some sort of paddle and ball set but we can't find anything other than diving toys or floats. We got a beach ball to hold us over. We were going to stop at Publix to pick up my allergy meds (today is the last day we have our old insurance), but I forgot the coupon that gives us a $25 gift card for new prescriptions so we came home.

We called Dan's dad for his birthday. Dan made me call first and say Happy Birthday in Italian. I was so nervous and felt weird doing it, but it really meant a lot to Dan and apparently his dad. He was so thrilled that I called. We told him we were planning on heading back to Italy for a month next summer, if all goes well.
jupiterjuniper and her beau will hopefully be joining us for part of the trip and Dan's parents might head over as well.

Then we put the dogs in the car and headed out to PetsMart. We realized that both 300 and Hot Fuzz came out today so we swung by Best Buy. When we saw 300 on Blue Ray we decided to finally cave in and buy a Playstation 3. Then we went to PetsMart and got Oz a new collar and a bigger water dish for the dogs. We got one of those water dishes that has a gallon jug attached. Our puppies have been drinking a lot of water since we moved out here. We stopped by Firehouse Subs to get subs to bring home. I had the Club Sub and it was really good. However, it took them forever to make the subs. Dan and I can't figure out why they were so slow. We'd go back but not when we're in a hurry. After grabbing our subs, we hit Publix, got my meds and came home to watch Hot Fuzz.

While we were in Best Buy, the movers called they will be here tomorrow. Our sofa and bedroom set are also arriving tomorrow. I am going to get my hair cut and dyed in the morning. Tomorrow night I think we're going to the Dark Side comic shop for D&D night to try and meet some players. I wish I remembered what box our dice were in, but I don't think we'll actually be playing tomorrow night, just meeting people.
I am halfway through Deathly Hallows!

Good night!
