ooooh, I've been saving this for when I can sit down and appreciate it and, my, but I love it so. LOVE it. It makes me love the story that much more.

and you're so right about the way the story is gendered -- with a female star, it would not only be squicky but cliched; this is much more interesting.

I think I told you before, about the Thanksgiving story, that it reminds me of F. Scott Fitzgerald's Hollywood stories. I really do think there's a "non-fannish" story in this scenario, if you ever feel the urge to write it.

really really wonderful -- and I just realized from the comm that there is another one I haven't read (which I will do whenver I once again have some free time!
