Randy in Harbor

Last weekend, some friends and I went to see two performances of Randy’s latest play, Harbor. I had read several reports about it from friends who had already seen it so I was not surprised with the less than happy but realistic ending but the fun of seeing how the four characters got to that point was delightful.

Hi, Dixie! So good to read your report of seeing Harbor. I think it's so great that Randy was glad to see you and your friend. It makes going to his plays so much more fun when he comes out and is in a good mood while talking to his fans. Of course, it seems to me from all the pics we've gotten in the last few months that he's in a really good place right now. He looks so relaxed and happy - like he's inwardly content.

Love your icon, too. Was that his portion of the pic with your friend?

Hi Linda,

My report was short and not very detailed. After reading Trish's in depth one and all the reviews, it's hard to come up with something new to say but I really did enjoy this one. Lots of laughs with the dialogue. I am never sure how Randy will be when I see him but I was glad that this time he genuinely seemed happy to see me. He certainly knows me not only from many years of seeing him perform but also from both the Conventions where he knew me by name. Then we had dinner with him so I'm sure he recognizes all of us.

I always have a good time in NY especially when Randy is performing. I also got to see The Nance and Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, both great shows. I love the city but I hate getting there.

It was a great all "gay" weekend with Randy, Nathan and David Hyde. The Nance was wonderful and so was Nathan.
