Thank goodness this semester is almost over. It's been intense to try to work, work on a dissertation proposal and teach four classes. Things have been falling to the wayside (such as the gym) and the results are showing. So starting mid-December it is all back-to-good.
Next semester is less intense. Two classes and (hopefully the beginning of the dissertation). I will be back on a regular gym schedule which means I can run again. I so miss running. I've also been less motivated because my iPod touch broke. I just bought a new one on Ebay. Well....new to me. I just get a used one for about 30 bucks, and so long as it lasts 2 years, we are totally good. It's just my running thing, after all.
Looks like in 2018 I will have five conferences. Yeesh. But 2 are here in Baltimore, one's in Philly. I'm only really traveling for the other two (Atlanta and Minneapolis).
I seriously hope I get a summer course.
I'm counting down the days. Thanks to teaching 4 classes I've had an insane schedule (M, W and Fr 6:30 am to 5pm, T/Th 10:30 -3:30; on Wednesdays I go right to school and teach a class until 9:30 pm, and on Tuesdays and Thursdays I get up, do an 8am class, hot foot it to work 10-3, then off to teach other class from 5-7.) It was insane - I cannot ever do this again.
I still cannot believe if everything goes well by 2020 I will likely have summers off - for the rest of my life. Wow.
