Thank you! I'm glad you like the photographs. :) And you're right, the bowl are really large.

I'm so sorry I'm only getting around to replying to your comment now! Do you know where your friends live (what neighborhood?). My favorite place to go in DC is actually where I photographed these bowls, the Smithsonian Museum of Asian Art. For visitors I would definitely recommend a walk through the Georgetown neighborhood, and if they go there, to walk off the main drag (M Street) and go up into the residential streets above M Street where there are many lovely townhouses. Also in Georgetown is the Dumbarton Oaks estate gardens, which are always lovely and serene.

I hope they have a chance to walk around the monuments a little and visit some of the other museums, too, especially the Smithsonian Museum of the American Indian. I also love to send people to the Jefferson building of the Library of Congress (and tell them to take an hour-long tour to get the most out of their visit - the Jefferson building of the Library of Congress has a large green dome and is located right behind the Capitol building - and beneath the dome is the beautiful main reading room, which is impressive. The Dupont Circle neighborhood is nice to walk around, too, and I'd also suggest a visit to the Kennedy Center - tell them to check out the view from the roof.

Most of these things are all metro accessible - Georgetown is the only neighborhood that doesn't have a metro stop, but one can easily walk there from either the Foggy Bottom or Dupont Circle metro stations, and there are also buses ($1.50 one way) that run from those stations into Georgetown as well. There is also a free shuttle that goes from the Foggy Bottom metro to the Kennedy Center. The museums are accessible from the Smithsonian metro station and the Library of Congress is reached from the South Capitol metro station.

Oh, and I also meant to say that I received the bookmark on Saturday! Thank you so much; I'm already using it, and it's quite lovely. :)
