I completely understand that feeling! I've been meaning to check them out for so long, and the song you posted yesterday finally got me started. So now I'm moving through their MySpace. Verdict so far: *____* Lyrics especially are amazing.
Afraid of Sunlight, Beyond You, Neverland, The Invisible Man, Ocean Cloud, Fantastic Place, This is the 21st Century, This Strange Engine, The Party, Berlin, The Space, Estonia (which is based on a true story of the capsize/sinking of the ferryboat Estonia), Easter, pretty much all of the Brave album....
Just a few, heh. ;)
I can never properly describe to anyone who isn't a fan the emotions that they inspire in me and the way the words and music shake me in a very real, physical way. This is why I keep traveling to Europe to see them and roadtrip whenever they're in the U.S.
Ooooh, I really liked Neverland. *__* *puts on again* Unsurprisingly I haven't heard most of the others yet but I'm going to see if I can find a few more tracks online and if I like them as much as the first few I will probably be taking out my credit card. *g* I read up on their background on Wikipedia/their website and I don't think my conscience would allow me to leech!
I understand exactly what you mean - I feel the same way about my favorite band and I can't describe it to non-fans at all! Which is why I made sure my very brief stopover in Japan this summer coincided with their 20th anniversary concert. :D

I rarely upload their music for exactly this reason - they've worked so hard to survive without record company support in a hugely unforgiving industry, and they all have spouses and families, so I hate to give away what they sweat blood to produce.
Btw, the reccs I usually offer to people for albums try out/start with are Seasons End (1989; their first with Hogarth), Afraid of Sunlight (1995), and Marbles (2004). These are universally-loved by fans but they also have more accessible tunes for non-fans. Some of their other albums can be a bit much for a newcomer (for example, Brave, 1994, which is a 70 minute album of 11 tracks that tell a story. It's fantastic, but it can be a bit daunting!).
And it's so great that you could see your fave band in Japan! WOW. You must have been so happy to enjoy their show! :D
Yes, it was fantastic! I saw them twice before, the last time I was in Japan, but as this was their 20th anniversary concert they played a lot of earlier songs that you'd normally never get a chance to hear live. It was so great. *___*

Eeek. I'm always nervous to share my favorite band with people, even though I always want to! ;)

All Lyrics.
Some songs that lyrically I love a helluva lot:
