Belgium, TimesSelect, Friday Night Lights & couch surfing
1. Going, going, GONE! Bwahaha, Belgium for sale.
2. I'm glad that the New York Times ended their TimesSelect (fee-based) program. Making many well-known columnists premium content didn't work that well anyway - I found many of the TS op-eds & columns cut and pasted into blogs which I easily found through google searches. I fully appreciate the difficulties of the covering the costs of maintaining these resources, so I don't fault them for trying to generate revenue, but I'm thrilled that they've reversed that decision and are now more accessible.
3. My copy of the Friday Night Lights DVD set arrived last night! I'm looking forward to picking up where I left off a few months ago when I began to watch the series after hearing many of you rave about it for so long. :)
4. I find the idea of couch surfing to be fascinating! I could never do it, but still, very interesting!
