Some reccs, a list of new music & a bit on jdramas

I read two wonderful fanfics recently:

• Juunengo no Shiawase (Happiness Ten Years Later), is a really lovely Sapuri fic by nihongofrancais who is the biggest Sapuri fan I know. If you loved Sapuri, don't miss this fic.
  
  
• Untitled Kurosagi fic by ilanabean42. She says it's unfinished, but it reads like it is and it's wonderful.

A music recc: icajoleu introduced me to Scottish band Aerogramme this weekend, and I think I've fallen in love! If you click here, you can listen to a few of their songs. They're very melodic (and yet, they are definitely rock music!) and the album is nicely-produced. icajoleu tells me that their live show (which I missed a couple weeks ago) is rather energetic and belies the quieter sound of the album.

Needless to say, I ordered the CD (My Heart Has a Wish That You Would Not Go) yesterday. *grin*

Speaking of orders...I also ordered a bunch of other things, like...

• the new Rush album, Snakes and Ladders (I'm embarassed to say that I don't have this yet, when it was released last week. I got my dates mixed up).
  
  
• a Cheb Mami album: Layali, released in 2006. I'm so excited to hear this! The samples sounded wonderful. Cheb Mami is well-known for his rai music.
  
  
• the new Thirteen Senses album: Contact, which came out in early April, but I've been lazy about ordering, since I have to order this from the UK.
  
  
• the recent Pineapple Thief album: Little Man, also from the UK, since I loved an earlier album (Variations on a Dream) so much.

I also managed to find a decent deal on 8x DVD+R spindles, and I'm crossing my fingers that my laptop is happy with them when they arrive. My current precious supply is running out!


In drama news, I enjoyed episode 3 of Proposal Daisakusen much more than the previous 2, but still...if it wasn't for Yamapi, I definitely would not be watching this. The repetitiveness is annoying, as is Ken's slowness, and I can't understand how he has so much pride to do stupid things (like changing his seat) when the whole reason he's going back in time is to let Rei know he cares about her.

Sadly, I was disappointed by episode 3 of Liar Game, which I finally got to watch with subs this weekend - not because there was anything wrong with it exactly (although I do wish the exposition could be handled a bit better), but because it was over so soon. I felt like hardly anything happened, although I do love Akiyama more and more all the time.

I'm still waiting for Bambino! episode 3 subs, and still completely in love with Hanayome to Papa - episode 4 was beyond adorable.
