Short and sweet.
Argh! I seem to have developed a post-nasal drip and it has left me rather congested and coughing a lot. WTF? I just got over being sick. Grrr.
Went to salsa last night with Hungarian Tamas and Aussie Emmaline - I had a lot of fun and I'm awfully proud of myself for how relaxed I am. I'm no great shakes but when I danced with other guys, I was able to follow along well enough and enjoy myself, although I have absolutely no "style" points (all the fancy motions that make salsa look hot). I'm not comfy enough yet to try any of that. And I still get very confused with the complicated spins and turns. All in good time...
I just want to mention two things:
1. baleanoptera has written a very thought-provoking post about George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series. I especially like what she theorizes about the Night's Watch oath:
