Informative video on copyright law
Another reason to hate Mickey Mouse and rich, spoiled brats. It starts off somewhat hokey, as the acting isn't that great, but the content is intriguing. So I say, "Fuck Kant" and let the information wash over you, let the concepts form:

And yes, Copyleft is a "real" term. Well, not unique to this project anyway. And if you're a Linux user like myself, you're probably already familiar with the meaning of the term without even realizing it!
On a related note, sci-fi author Cory Doctorow has been releasing all of his works under the GPL, meaning they're free for private use and freely available in digital form on his website. He's also one of the co-founders of Boing Boing, which is where I found the link to this video.
When Orwell wrote "He who controls the present, controls the past. He who controls the past, controls the future", he was referring to the control of information. Culture must be free to develop on its own, for the sake of our freedom. A truly free state could withstand even the harshest of criticisms against it that would appear in culture.
