Another new initial assessment appointment, another family to try to encourage them to see that their son could possibly have a communication disorder, possibly ASD, and we need to refer to the educational psychologist. I was on the phone to four ed pyschs today-all from the same office space, all for different children. By the end of the day, the department secretary and I were on a first-name basis. No matter how many times I have this conversation with parents, it doesn't get easier.
I finally broke down and bought a iPod product-a 2GB iPod Shuffle for in my car so I can just plug it into the aux lead and let it go while I drive. I now have a mini mp3 player to go in my mini car which has a mini chip in the windscreen and a mini dent in the wheel arch...I always did like things in miniature...
J is in Glasgow seeing the Tossers in concert. I am off for a nice long soak and read in the bath.
