I've been thinking about philosophy a lot more recently, in ways that recall the sort of obsessive mulling so characteristic of college days. Handwringing, muttering, and all of that good stuff. It's cool, a reclamation of some portion of my identity that hunkers down all quiet when faced with writing requirements docs, doing business strategy,

I think I'm afflicted by "philosophizing-as-requirement-for-living" as distinct from "philosophy-as-rquirement-for-living." The few philosophy classes I took (three semesters? Plus two of philosophical religion) were enough to make me fascinated but not really knowledgeable. (The only reason I haven't joined in on Sylvantechie's discussion of the extended self was that I just didn't have time). So a reading packet sounds great! Who knows when I'd read it, but I would sure enjoy it when I do!
