philosophy?

I've been thinking about philosophy a lot more recently, in ways that recall the sort of obsessive mulling so characteristic of college days. Handwringing, muttering, and all of that good stuff. It's cool, a reclamation of some portion of my identity that hunkers down all quiet when faced with writing requirements docs, doing business strategy, and paying rent.

One cause of this is a series of philosophy-related discussions, touched off by sylvantechie, and recently involving sundry other folks like woobat, osirusbrisbane, and shideem. What's remarkable is to be reminded that not everyone I know - in fact, few of you - are afflicted with philosophy-as-requirement-for-living.

Also good to realize is that I actually know an unusual amount about the history and development of philosophy, and that at least sylvantechie is looking for guidance in finding some key works to read. So I'm going to pillage my library and photocopy some stuff that I think is:

a) interesting,
b) important, and
c) readable (sadly not true of a number of philosophical tracts)

I figure it's as easy to make two or five photocopies of something as it is one - so does anybody else want such a thing? Would people be more or less inclined to read if it were accompanied by some group discussion?
