The trip to the USA - aka the trip of a lifetime!

Sep 02, 2009 00:08

Well.. It’s been a while since my last update, isn’t it!

As many of you know by now, I’ve been to the United States this summer and had the time of my life. Literally, there has been nothing so amazing as those four weeks of the States and that extra week in Canada. Five fantastic weeks…

I’ve seen many people, met up with a good load of online friends. People who earned that special spot with me, people who I trust and they trust me back. I’ve been at their homes, spend time with them, laughed and had fun all the time. It’s an incredible experience, especially for me when you take the sum of all those visits.

Together with my friend, we had a well spend holiday, and I can’t even begin to tell the things we did. It’s just too much to list! But what I can do is listing things that I am proud for having accomplished during the visit. Visiting the United States have always been a dream to me, for years already, and now, it has been fulfilled. I can say I have lived!
  • · San Francisco! It was the best city of all, feels very clean and modern. We’ve been to the piers and gazed at Alcatraz. We travelled along the famous Golden Gate Bridge, on the best day of all, having made some amazing photos. I’d love to go back there one day.. it simply was that fantastic. So much to see, so much to do.
  • · Flaming Wars! An amazing guy, who was willing enough to travel all the way from L.A. up to S.F. to see me and my friend. It was incredible, and we had loads of fun. If only we could’ve spend longer… A very fun and open guy I won’t forget that quick!
  • · Sacramento! Byzil and Hypnoticdragon! Two of the best buddies I’ve ever had in the recent past. Two surprising individuals too, as to how open they are for things and live their own little lives in a very cozy apartment. I had a lot of fun with them, as we went to Discovery Adventure to get a taste from an orca show, and enjoy the thrills of rollercoasters!
  • · Orlando, in Florida! Thinking back, we took the time there very easy, no rush or whatever. Meeting up with another amazing guy, Kodisoa, we had the time of our lives when we spent our day at the famous SeaWorld. It was beyond incredible… SeaWorld was one of our main goals during our trip, and we accomplished it. Words cannot describe the beauty of what I saw there, especially the orca live performances. I was close enough to the plateau to gaze directly into that orca’s eye. A sight I will never forget… I can also say now that I got wetted by Shamu!
  • · Megaplex! Still in Orlando, a small convention for furries. In all honesty, it was less than I hoped for, but it’s a nice introduction as to what to expect. However, meeting up with Uncle Kage and Rogue Megawolf (who will take us further up north later) was making all up for it. As it turns out, Uncle kage is a famous person in the furry fandom, something we weren’t much aware of. Yet he took us for a private drink, enjoying our time, while the fanbois kept panting at our sides.
  • · Philadelphia! Rogue’s place was incredibly fun. A funny thing about his place is that things are as organized as one could expect from a destructive macrofurry. But making plans for how to spend a day was certainly something he took time for and gave us all the stuff we needed to get going while he was at work. An amazing individual. At first I had no idea what to expect from him, but he won my trust very quick, and we had a great time.
  • · New Jersy! Meeting up with Nemmy was fun… Surprisingly good fun. He was as I expected, ultimately. A good buddy, abit shy and a soft voice, but ultimately a real fantastic person! We headed out to New York for a day, which was really amazing. I never imagined going to the Big Apple, yet I did that day. Again, words cannot describe how that day was to me. I have great memories of our stay at that naughty red dragon’s den.
  • · Montreal! After a long train trip from New York up to Canada, we got to meet up with Pyxaron. He surprised me the most. He was fun, very talktative and open. Playful too in his own way! Another surprise was that we ended up in the French part of Canada… oy. We went out to camp in the woods along with some of his friends, making a fire, while staying at a wooden house for a night. It was so beautiful, so quiet in that forest. Even went for a night swim at the lake. It was so unfortunate that there were clouds however. I would’ve loved to gaze at the starry sky.

My deepest wishes and thanks go out to all of these individuals, and the many others we ran into:

FlamingWars, Hypnoticdragon, Byzil, Kodisoa, Rogue, Uncle Kage, Nemmy, Pyxaron, Serephis, Ailé, Kernac, and everyone else I missed here. Also, I'm sorry for those who couldn't get to me while I was in their direct area, especially Trauron and Acidic. I would've loved to meet you too!

But ofcourse, the greatest thank you go out to this one simple yet amazingly generous individual: Sirorca. Without him, I would’ve never been able to have spent my holidays in the US. Without him, nothing would’ve happened, and I would be left dreaming about “what if…”. I owe him a great deal, as the emotional value of this trip cannot be explained in words.

I thank him deeply, extremely deeply, for what he has made possible for me. Thank you~
