it's amazing how dependent upon speed people (americans?) can become.
that's one of the more interesting differences about france. ive had handfuls of people tell me 'in france, pleasure is most important' which means speed and efficiency are not. i assure you this is true.
though, french people so generally do not look happy, i wonder if the whole 'pleasure' thing is working out for them.
perhaps the 35 hour work week is bad emotionally, not just economically. maybe they, like i, have too much free time?
maybe it is bad that they care so much about being well-dressed? but who knows. lots of things are bad if you make them bad.
it's too bad i dont think the inverse is true. not sure. ill have to think some more on it.

so, it's a nice day. im so happy spring has stopped by for a february visit - for the last week or so we've been hovering around the 50s. im certainly not complaining. we've had lots of sunshine, flowers are blooming - i dont want winter to return. but, ive been told it isnt truly good weather here until april. so i guess march will be terrible. thus, im soaking up february as much i can.
oh, i love the sunshine. i dont get enough.
speaking of loving, i would like to make a public declaration of love to nathan. :-D i do not believe that there is anyone - anywhere that i could have the same amazing quality of discussions with. i am so proud of the communication in our relationship. so happy. thanks for being wonderful for me. though, i look forward to us actually being in the same country. sorry i keep going to france. :-D
so... dont want to go to class. dont have a lesson planned yet. that's bad.
have to leave in an hour and a half - first must take a shower and eat SOMETHING. what i dunno.
