So, the reason i keep a live journal is for those moments when i have the hankering to share my thoughts with the rest of the world - usually - the more/most specific reason is that i like to complain and get sympathy.
Therefore - tonight i write about how unpleasant i have found it to be living in France this year.

i have now been here over 4 months

awww... Emily, I'm sorry that things aren't going so well. You do have people that care about you and love you. Lots of people miss you. I'm definitely not the same happy person with you around. I suppose singing "Put a smile on your face, put a smile on your face! Don't let Mr. Frown come around. Push him far away, tell him 'You can't stay!' Put a smile on your fa-ace, right now!" won't really help... but I'll do it anway. Ahem...

I love you Emily!!! Things will be better soon. Don't worry about being so "needy" I definitely feel in great need of you. Everyone needs assurance and confirmation from others... I think you are an exceptionally brave person for doing this (teaching a year in France). I don't think the teachers or student's realize what all your going through to do this. Even that German one didn't have to cross an ocean to teach.
