Last night, after I put Catherine to bed, I did some pretty good cleaning/decorating while watching Mary Poppins. I unpacked the box of Christmas decorations my Mom gave me that she didn't want any more - while I can't use them all this year, a lot of others I can. I straightened up the living/dining room, swept the tile floor (in anticipation of cleaning tonight), and took everything off the ledge next to the stairwell. This ledge has been a catchall of "stuff that's destined for downstairs" for years - since we moved in, in fact. I cleared it off and put a short table runner and a lighted garland (that won't light because I don't have convenient power) on it, with several of the decorations that I got from Mom - Father Christmases and such. I'm unreasonably pleased with myself about that one little thing. It looks SO much better. It desperately needs to be painted, but that's one painting job I'm not going to tackle.

I didn't get the Christmas cards done. Maybe tonight.

List for tonight and tomorrow:
Finish cleaning the kitchen
Clean the tile in the entry, do a quick once-over in the kitchen
Pick up everything that ought not to be in the family room
Dust (Joe's job is vacuuming)
Clear off the kitchen table/island
Wipe down kitchen cabinets
Straighten the game room
Finish putting away my laundry
If time, clean the baseboards I haven't gotten to, yet

It's manageable.
