I've been kind of absentee the last several days - I'm sorry if I missed anything special in your life.
We had a good weekend, overall. Joe and I both took Friday off but Cat still went to daycare (the plan was to go to the plant nursery to tag our plants, but I had to take the dog to the vet, first, and, by the time we were done with that, he was already done). The dog is perfectly healthy, 35 pounds (the vet figures she'll wind up in the mid-40s). She's really come out of her shell in the past week, to the point where she is now chasing the cat. And, silly me, I trimmed Rex's claws so that he couldn't go after HER.
So, since we didn't wind up spending all the time we thought we'd have to doing plants, we went to breakfast, then to the movies (The Informant! - it wasn't as good as the trailers would lead you to believe), and picked up my replacement Cricut at FedEx (it works! Hallelujah!) Then I want for my bloodwork, and we went and picked up Cat. I don't remember at all what we wound up doing that evening.
Saturday was just a normal Saturday. We took Cat up to my parents' to spend the night, had a nice cookout dinner and, at long last, got back into the hot tub. Ah, how I missed it! Played around a bit on the Cricut, too. That thing is going to be FUN.
Yesterday, we went to lunch and to the last DBacks game of the season (which they won - woo-hoo. Except they're STILL 20 games under .500), picked up Cat from the 'rents (who'd had a blast with her), and watched Mad Men.
This morning was funny. I dropped Cat off at the babysitter's and, for the first time, she was pretty insistent that she wanted to walk into the house herself, so I put her down, and she did, and quickly went over to play with her friends. But, when I said, "Good-bye, sweetie!" she came running over to me, wanting me to pick her up so she could give me a big hug. I just melted.
