(no subject)
Well, today, I went to Mom & Dad's with Catherine - we were hoping to swim with her, but the weather didn't agree, so there will likely be no more 2009 Cat-in-Pool events, as the swimming season is pretty much at its end.
But I brought up the scrapbook I started for myself for Cat's first year - I haven't done really anything at all with it, just put in pages, and determined how to use some page elements that were left over from other scrapbooks. And Mom and I were comparing scrapbooks, and then she brought it out.
It is my Christmas gift, but, since I'm working on a book, she figured it would be good for me to have it now. If you've seen the informercials, you know...she got me the Cricut. The small one (what need have I for the HUGE one?) with FOUR cartridges. I know she got it through HSN, hell, she called me to tell me about the deal they were offering (I said I loved it, but couldn't justify spending the money - and I couldn't, but I'm over the moon to have the machine.)
Alas, I got it home and fired it up...and it isn't working properly. It only wants to cut what IT wants to cut - I've no way of telling it what I want it to cut. But that can be fixed or replaced, and, as it's my Christmas gift, I won't be at all upset if using it is delayed a bit since I shouldn't even have it yet. :-)
