Didn't they realize that this could be taken in exactly the wrong way?

You may have heard that the Democrat National Committee was soliciting slogans for a billboard that they are planning to put up in Rush Limbaugh's home town in Florida. Well, they've chosen one (There's a CNN story, too, but this one is humorous, and it does link to CNN). It is "Americans Didn't Vote for a Rush to Failure."

In addition to the fact that this slogan is utterly lame (that was the best one of 80,000 entries? Really?), it's more likely to be taken this way, which is exactly the opposite of what they wanted:

No, Americans DIDN'T vote for a rush to failure, but that's what we've got.

It's more of a slam on Obama than on Rush.
