I downloaded my LJ, "just in case."
Okay, fine.
You know what that DOESN'T do? It doesn't download my friends' journals. Which, from time to time, I confess, I like to go back and read. I do have posts marked as "memories" from other friends. Fido's posts, for instance, I would miss.
So moving to FaceBook would be okay on a "going forward basis," I suppose. But I've got five years of friends' history here that is going to be lost if LJ goes away.
ETA: But the LJ Archive app? TOTALLY cool. I'm glad for this crisis if for only that I've been introduced to it.
