Last night, I started putting together my music to load onto my Karma player for the hospital. It turns out that I have a lot of music I haven't listened to in, like, forever, because it isn't loaded on a player now (actually, I have two - one for the car and one for the house*) and I don't re-load my players very often, and the last time I did was with music Joe likes because we were driving to Vegas. So I was creating the playlist and found things like "Whisper of Angels" by Amici. Mmmmm...love that song. Makes me cry, it's so beautiful. "Winter" by Bond - strong, glorious string music (if you watched the Men's Figure Skating in the '02 Olympics, you might know it. Alexei Yagudin won the gold with it).

I have a lot of great music. I really need to listen to it.

* Product review: The REAL reason I have two is because they don't make this player any more (and it doesn't really have a successor - the company that made it was purchased and the line discontinued), and I love it. When I first got it, it was the only player on the market that did gapless playback (important to me - I have a lot of live albums and Original Cast Recordings that run tracks right into each other) and plays exotic formats like OGG and FLAC. So, when the first one I had gave up the ghost, I got another...and then I got yet another as a backup in case the main one died. Right now, they both still work fine. The only drawback to the Karma is the hard disk size - 20GB. Sure, it's a monochrome screen, but I'm not looking to watch video or put pictures on it. I just want it to play music, and it does that better than anything else out there.
