About Nutrisystem, I mean.
The GOOD - If you stick to it, it WORKS. Even if you fall off a little bit, it STILL works. I started it last Friday - I've lost five pounds. And Monday night, since both Joe and our boarder were out of town, I actually indulged in a few glasses of wine. STILL lost the five pounds.
Also, the late-night snacks/desserts are excellent. The pretzels are (I am not kidding) to die for. I'd eat full bags of them even if I weren't dieting.
The food itself...not so bad. Some of it's actually darn good.
The BAD - It's BORING. Salad with two of three meals. Plus at least two servings of fruit per day. I actually dislike fruit. A LOT. I'm okay with strawberries...and maybe grapes. That's about it. I can substitute once a day with juice (including my favorite cranberry), but the forced inclusion of fruit is not so good.
There has been NO indication that wine substitutes as a serving of fruit (unlike a refrigerator magnet I have that actually says "Wine! A serving of fruit!")
The UGLY - actually, there is nothing ugly. Which is good.
Tomorrow, though, we're hosting a big poker party. I am taking a well-deserved and much-needed break from the diet.
My goal is to be down 15 pounds from my starting weight by the time my mother and I go to Santa Fe in mid-July, at which time I will start branching out a bit. And then another 15 pounds by our anniversary in mid-August, when I may branch out a bit more. When we go on our vacation (hopefully in November), I hope to be at my goal weight.
